Camping has always been an important part in our culture in the United States.  During the summer, many families take to the road with their camping gear to go and rediscover nature.  We even have fifty-eight national parks that are preserved for campers to enjoy.  In a world filled with gizmos and gadgets, why is camping still so popular?  Here’s what I think.

IWe had a nice holiday. Two days after Christmas, it got up to 70 degrees in Pittsburgh. A far cry from the normal 20 or so degrees. What a treat. I know it can’t last forever, but while it was nice, we started thinking about where we’re going camping next season.
